Praying for Playpatch

A healthy church looks upward and outward. We keep our eyes fixed on Jesus (upwards), and walk with His Spirit to change our lives and learn to love others (outwards). One such way of looking outward as a church is our Playpatch playgroup. My wife Susan loves being part of the team and writes:

Playpatch is a fun and welcoming program for babies, toddlers and preschoolers with their parents and carers, which we run every Thursday during school terms in our lower hall. The time together includes free play, craft, morning tea, songs, stories, as well as fun and friendship for both children and adults.

The team love to meet and welcome members into our community, providing a safe and supportive space for parents and carers, as well as providing the opportunity to learn about God as we sing songs and listen to a children's bible story.

Lisa Goodman is the new team leader and shares why she is excited about leading the team and the opportunities Playpatch opens up to our community:

“I have chosen to lead Playpatch this year because I am passionate about sharing the love of Jesus with families in our local community, as well as helping them to connect with each other at a time in life with little kids when it's often hard to do so. It’s a wonderful mission opportunity! We are constantly welcoming new families from the Dapto community. I am excited to see how God continues to uses Playpatch this year and pray that it will be a pathway for families to join us at church on Sundays and put their faith in Jesus.”

Please pray for Playpatch as we start up again for 2026 this coming week.

We'd love to encourage any families with preschool aged children to come and join us! Please invite your friends and neighbours!
