Men's Camp
These days, it can be confusing to know what it means to be a man. There are plenty of voices telling us who we should be and what really matters.
But the Bible gives us a much clearer picture: God calls us to be godly men.
Join us for a weekend away as we spend time together exploring what it looks like to live as godly men at church, in our families, and at work.
There’ll be plenty of time to relax, eat well, have some fun, build friendships and encourage one another as we dig into God’s Word together.
Speaker: Rev. Jim Mobbs
Jim is the minister of Como Community Church. He’s married to Vivienne and together they have five children. He enjoys rugby league (as a long-suffering Parramatta Eels supporter), playing guitar and really hot curries. One thing Jim definitely doesn’t enjoy is coffee.

In September CONNECT MEN are going whale watching at Bass Point. We had some great sightings last year, so lets hope our time together is again rewarded with some active humpbacks.

Yacht Club Lunch | Empty Nesters
Empty Nesters will have an afternoon at the Illawarra Yacht Club on Saturday, 12th September 2026. There will be an Afternoon Tea at 3:00 PM, with the option to stay on for dinner at 5:30 PM. RSVP for afternoon tea and/or dinner by Wednesday, 9th September so the booking can be confirmed.
Connect Men Board Games Night
Come eat some snacks and hang out. We'll meet in the Ministry Centre Foyer. Bring some snacks and a board (or card) game that can be taught and played in about an hour. As it's a week before Father's Day, we want to extend this invite to your boys and young men as well. And... the mystery guest who had to cancel in May is back, so make sure you're there for that.
The Porn Phenomenon
Join us on August 9th for a workshop on how to help those who struggle with pornography and those impacted by that struggle.
About the workshop:
In this free 90 minute workshop, Steve Gibb will help you gain insight into how to lovingly disciple those who struggle with pornography. Jane Gibb will help you learn ways to give support and comfort to the partner/spouse of those struggling with pornography.
Steve is a certified coach and sexual addiction specialist while working as an assistant pastor at MBM Rooty Hill Anglican Church and for Resist Ministries.
Jane is a certified coach and betrayal trauma specialist while running her own private practice called Quiet Wisdom.

Square One
Our kids team is excited as we look ahead to a great time together in Spring. This year, kids will be exploring the book of Matthew and learning about Jesus—our rock-solid foundation. The weekend is run by the Youthworks Ministry Support Team, alongside a team of volunteers, who plan the teaching and activities so church leaders can focus on discipling their kids. Please be praying for our kids and our leaders as they head away.
