Connect Men

Join us at St Luke’s Brownsville on Saturday 27 September at 7pm for this month’s Connect Men gathering. The theme is “Collectors and Collections” – and it’s set to be a fascinating night! Our very own Jim (with a passion for convict ceramics and glass) and his mate Neil (an expert in early Illawarra bottles and more) will be sharing some of their incredible collections. They’ll bring along rare and unusual items, and give us a glimpse into the rich history behind them.

But it’s not just about Jim and Neil—we’d love to see YOUR collection too! Whether it’s coins, stamps, model cars, footy cards, or something quirky—bring it along to display and share. Big or small, serious or fun, all collections are welcome.

So come along, bring a mate, and enjoy a great night together.

For more info, have a chat with Warren or Ted, or email office@daptoanglican.org.au

Connect Men

We have something a little different for CONNECT MEN in August.

Museum visit

10am Saturday 30th of August.

We will gather at the Parish Centre carpark at 10am. From there we will travel to the Polish Museum in Gipps St Gwynneville arriving at 10:30am.

This museum is only small, but covers a lot of history of Poland in WWII and their post-war immigration to Australia and the Illawarra. The centrepiece of the museum is replica Polish WWII aircraft currently under construction. As we pass through the exhibits our guide will share many personal accounts and stories from these times.

Entry is free, but as a show of our gratitude we would like to be able to make a donation.

For further info talk to Ted McGuire.

Young Adults: Spark
Aug

to 24 Aug

Young Adults: Spark

Young adulthood is a formative time of life: you’re finding your own way and making decisions that could steer the course of your life. And you’re doing that while the world is relentlessly selling you its dream of who and what you could and should become.

As  a Christian, to navigate that wisely, you need to be well-grounded in understanding what your life is for.  Because the truth is you only get one shot at life, and it’s the dressing room for all eternity. So how you use every hour, how you spend every day, how you invest every year, really matters.

Spark is here to help you know what your life is for. It’s here to keep shining the light of God’s word into your life: urging you to forsake the things that are trivial, and dedicate your whole life to Jesus Christ and what He calls you to do with this life He’s given you. There is no greater thing you can do with your life in this world than consecrate your life to the God who made you.
